Why Industry 4.0 ?

By now, we are all pretty familiar with the connected world, and the ability to monitor and control your home lighting, aircon and heating using your smartphone, tablet or PC via the internet., Bby 2020 there could easily be 20 billion objects world-wide making up the Internet of Things.

But what about your manufacturing production and quality operations, machines, tooling, equipment and processes ?

Industry 4.0 is the new term given to automation and data exchange in manufacturing, but it's nothing new to us !.

We realised many years ago that closed loop feedback in manufacturing is essential, and have been developing and supporting Industry 4.0 solutions way before the term was created and before others acknowledged that it's a good idea !

Pure Manufacturing

PURE Manufacturing is an internet-enabled manufacturing solution, the back-office applications for defining, managing, planning and controlling work order jobs are accessible via the internet using a web browser from anywhere in the world.

Operators on the production shop-floor use real-time touch-screen kiosk devices that connect via the internet to the PURE Manufacturing host system allowing your shop floor to be located remotely from your back-office, anywhere on the planet (with a reliable internet connection)

By using PURE Manufacturing's powerful API, we can directly feed real-time data collected via an internet thing back into the modules to provide live, interactive updates from tooling, machinery, equipment and other non-human sources.

Machine Monitoring

Many modern machine tools are programmable and for safety reasons Human-to-Machine (H2M) control of a machine tool may not be desirable.

However Machine-to-Human (M2H) and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) certainly can benefit in terms of machine monitoring and tracking.

Monitor equipment and minimize downtime by predicting failures or exceptions on the production line. Save on energy costs and improve electrical efficiency with smart building systems to monitor and control unnecessary usage of electrical systems.

Machine-to-Machine (M2M) is the ability of a machine, or piece of equipment to talk directly to another machine without the need for human interaction.

Before the explosion of the internet of things, this was commonly done by using very simple communications via the low-bandwidth cellular network, but with the advent of higher internet speeds and better connectivity, it is now possible for machines to talk to each other over the internet.

Our Capabilities

We have the in-house ability to rapidly design, develop, manufacture and deploy bespoke electronic hardware devices which connect to fully integrated real-time database and web applications tailored to your specific needs.

We use cutting-edge technologies with ultra-low-power microcontrollers communicating via wired-ethernet, or wireless communications using wifi, LoRa, SigFox and Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT).

Our front-end web applications use HTML5, CSS3, JAVA, Javascript and NodeJS providing a fast, modern and highly extendable & scaleable web solution that can be rapidly designed around your requirements, and easily be expanded with new modules or functionality.

So if you are looking for custom or bespoke electronics and software design and development, then you are in the right place.

We have the experience, skills and resources to rapidly and effectively create rugged interfaces between the physical world and the connected world.
